Let There be Light (04 - 12 August)

The exhibition “…let there be light” explores the beauty of nature as captured through the lens of Mahesh Nair. Light, unquestionably, is the most critical component in most art forms, including photography. It is also an essential part of life itself! By using light to dramatize and highlight the beauty of nature, these photographs paint a unique picture of the natural world around us. Part of the proceeds goes to WWF.
Solo Exhibition by Roy Zhang 
In this personal works by Roy, the mask created by each individual is an emotional interface for the otherwise hidden & forgotten feelings and emotions in our personal life. Emotions drive individual to act in certain ways, and in the same way the emotion within them drive themselves to create a mask – a mask characterized by the emotion from within oneself.

HanoiHaiku

Shown as a complete series for the first time in Singapore, these works were made in Hanoi, Vietnam during my residency with the Goethe Institut Hanoi. Presented like a visual Haiku, the works are intentionally left untitled; the juxtaposition of images produces their own narratives, temporal connections, and is open to many interpretations infused with the personal experiences of individual viewers.

Christened after its opening date on a Leap Day, ‘2902’ speaks of a rare moment frozen, or more aptly, captured in time by a photograph.

2902 Gallery is located in a lush green environment within Mount Sophia. As an art gallery, it focuses on art photography and aims to provide affordable exhibiting platforms and professional services for both local and regional photographers.

In our commitment to the arts, the gallery looks to organise a regular series of workshops and lectures for both photographers and collectors. We hope to eventually build up a viable platform for appreciating arts photography.

Standing at 4,000 sq ft, 2902 is proud to be the largest photo art galley in Southeast Asia. 2902 photo gallery consists of 3 galleries, one workshop room, client reception area, staff office and a humidity control storage room.

The extensive gallery wall space
(120 metres), good gallery lights and humidity control offer the ideal environment for any photo exhibition.

For the artist by the artist, 2902 gallery looks beyond the bottom line to address the perennial woe of photographers—high rental costs in staging an exhibition. At 2902, the maths doesn’t add up—we keep the cost down even as the wall space stretches on.

Three gallery spaces with more than 120m of wall space are available for solo or group exhibitions at affordable rates for up to 18 days—lower than any premium gallery with  premium facilities like a humidity-controlled storage area, special lighting to prevent photo degradation and a private viewing room for buyers to examine the works.

Rental cost commensurates with wall space. The following rates applies only to artists.
